|
|
I have talked with one of the heads of the Kawasaki reading room here and UNL and I'm actually really glad we have one. If you don't already know the Kawasaki Reading Room is essentially the Japanese library. They get subscriptions to Japanese magazines, have some old copies of Japanese classics, Japanese learning books but more importantly Japanese movies and anime.
After talking with him about me borrowing Soul Eater I mentioned this would be really handy for the club for titles we may not readily own at this time such as Claymore. Upon saying this he mentioned he keeps buying more stuff around a monthly basis for the library and we could request titles for him to add.
What this could be is an archive of shows we could potentially use if we request shows for him to get. He's said that if it's on Amazon he could probably get it.
So I turn the question to you. What shows or movies should they have in their collection? Remember by doing this we not only help the industry by buying the shows but we also save it for future club members. That and we'd be doing it on the college's dime so it'd be for free.
I'll make sure to turn in the paper work for suggestions if we get posts here on what we should have them collect.

Anything by Hayao Miyazaki
Nerima Daikon Brothers
I'm not sure what they have already, so it's hard to know what to suggest. _________________ Disclaimer:

Ok I now have the master list up. I'm going to consider anything part of the Library as something we actually own so with permission I'm going to add this to the voting list.
If you want something that is not on the list I'll compile a list of suggestions as long as you post the name here. I've been told if it's on Amazon you can suggest it with a high degree of success.
so make suggestions so we can support the industry and not spend a penny out of our pockets! _________________

Everything ever.
Anyway, this sounds like a pretty good idea. I will return with some real suggestions once I think of some if I remember to. _________________ Have ninja, will travel.
